Your chart clarifies your goals, aptitudes and attitudes — not just about work, but about money and authority, too. It sheds light on how you communicate, whether you’re good at details or working with your hands, and which fields match your natural abilities.
Unfortunately, astrology won’t give you names, addresses and phone numbers of potential employers. Still, one thorough reading will yield scads of useful information that would otherwise require a battery of vocational and psychological tests.
Your chart clarifies your goals, aptitudes and attitudes — not just about work, but about money and authority, too. It sheds light on how you communicate, whether you’re good at details or working with your hands, and which fields match your natural abilities.
Curious about your long-term career path? It appears in the 10th house of your chart (to the left of high noon), which shows what you want to achieve in life. The 6th house (above the 4:00 position in the wheel) spells out what you need to do on a daily basis and how you fit into a work environment. These two houses need to be synthesized, for you to succeed and be satisfied. If 10th house shows you need to take charge but the 6th suggests you can’t work with people, for example, you may do best in a situation that gives you autonomy.
The sign and placement of your moon also indicate what you need to feel fulfilled. Finding fulfillment on the job is especially important if the moon is in either the 6th or the 10th house.
For earning potential, look at the 2nd house. This area says what money means to you and how you’re likely to earn it. (If you’re investing in the market or going into a partnership, the 8th house of joint enterprises will also be important.) While the 2nd house shows your talents, your Mars placement indicates how you actually use them. The position of this planet describes your natural method of working, which could be spontaneously and independently (Mars in Aries) or slowly and tenaciously (Mars in Capricorn).
A vocational reading ties all these threads together into a picture of your career, job and income options. The reading also provides something you can’t get from testing, and that’s a list of the best times to look for a job, ask for a raise or make any other move.
